Why some cultures fade away

in Cross Culture5 days ago

As a first timer in this community i want to share this experience, culture they say is dynamic and not static, this i got to believe in my experience with a particular business my community has been in over the years. Now, so much has changed. That i ask myself too many questions. Palm fruit/oil business is one ot the greatest businesses I have ever seen my community venture into. At my teen i remember they will eventually set up a date as community for the cutting, a night to that very day a town announcer will go round the community making announcements on their take of point to go in for it. There after, the quantity cut will be shared among the number of people that came out as family for the day.

Unfortunately, as time went by their system changed as a community as many were thought that they can't continue and that things are evolving. Actually no doubt about that but what will happen to the business as a community. The heads of the home came into an agreement that once it's time for the harvest they will sell to a particular set of people who processes it further into palm oil and pay the community then the money used for a tangible investment. This went on for so long not until some people claimed the more wise than others then the community brought in another pattern that they think would be favorable for them.

They went ahead to share it according to compound, maybe this will be more favourable for them so i thought, it's now for the heads to come together and decide what they will be doing with it, this action cost some community development brought in this this business to vanish into the air. As the the now solve their problems in their compounds according to their families.

Seems their vehicle was moving fine and in the correct lane. The sell it when there's a family need to get it solved and not looking at one person or more for the contribution. Humans and their different minds, it happened that just two persons back stabbed the others and sold it behind them. At this point some people had no choice than to start up their palm business. That was how this community faded away this particular pattern of business because of human greed. Man the things he can do to benefit only himself without putting others into consideration.
