THIS IS MY PARTICIPATION IN THE VEGAN MINI CONTEST. Raw ! anytime. as a child, I did not like beets at all, as probably most kids, but later on in life, once i discovered it while living in Argentina I took a liking to it. but, for the longest time, I prepared it cooked, not knowing that I would later like it even more once I discovered one can eat it without cooking.
a lot of water has passed under the bridge since and now, I not only eat it, mostly raw, but I also grow beets so they do not get fresher then that. my favorite way of consuming them is probably in a salad, alongside tomatoes and lettuce leaves.
Yes, it's common for children to dislike beets (with very few exceptions, like my daughter, who always loved vegetables, even as a baby), so it's great that you discovered this delicious vegetable. You can prepare it grated, with cilantro, lettuce, carrots, tomato, onion, or cabbage—it's ultra delicious. And also in juice, with orange and carrot, it tastes spectacular!

Ahh, both cooked and raw? Wow, I like your style shaa. But the first time you tasted it, was it raw or cooked?
I seem to remember that raw in a 3 in 1 juice, as we say here in Venezuela, which is beet, orange and carrot. My mom used to prepare it when we were kids because of that and because it boosted our defenses due to its vitamin C content.
But, I love potato, beet and egg salad hahaha. But, I should not abuse beet, because specialists have told me that it can raise sugar a bit, so I have to consume it in moderation. Greetings @marajah!!!

Well, it seemed a bit strange as it was harder, but got used to it, and now I just like it better that way 🙏
My Participation In The Vegan Mini Contest. Beets are healthy vegetables that give the body lovely nutrients which I would not want to compromise for anything. There is a saying that the taste of the buddy is in the eating, so if you don't taste the cooked and uncooked beets, you can't prefer one to another. I love eating it raw when serve with salad and drink but with other meals I prefer eating it cooked. Of course the color do add visual beauty that further stimulate my appetite for eating. I love it!

Beets are very nutritious

I have eaten both raw and cooked beet but the raw beet is what I enjoyed most. I really love the earthy flavor when I consume it raw. Moreover , it is easy to prepare for a delicious salad. When it comes to juicing , it is a perfect drink for me. The first time I enjoyed beet , it was a combination of hibiscus flower and beet drink . I don't joke with raw beet juice .

Yes, beets are delicious when eaten raw, and they're also healthier. That combination of hibiscus and beets is great; you can add some citrus fruit, like orange or tangerine, to make the flavor even better.

With raw beets you get good results both in drinks and salads, I have consumed it in both cases and the best thing is that its taste is still good.

@ladyfoth, please, how do you combine hibiscus flower and beets? As zobo or how? Nevertheless, you're my type that loves raw beets.
Is just simple grate your beet and add the juice to cooked hibiscus and add lemon juice or ginger . You can add sweetener. It's a nice combo. Do have a great my baby girl.
Saludos querida comunidad, esta mi participación en el mini concurso vegano. La remolacha es un vegetal que me gusta mucho desde mis tiempos de infancia. Recuerdo consumirla mucho en ensaladas con papas y zanahorias. Sé que en algunas ocasiones se puede usar cruda para preparar jugos, siendo el más popular el tres en uno, que combina la remolacha con naranja y zanahoria. Con ella también podemos obtener jugos medicinales, que de hecho he preparado y que proporcionan innumerables beneficios a nuestra salud. A veces, en ensaladas cuando prefiero algo rápido, la rallo con la zanahoria, otra forma de consumirla cruda. La remolacha tiene esa mezcla entre dulce y salado que prefiero disfrutar cocinada, asi que esta será mi elección. Invito a participar a @milik80 y @trimer2023. Saludos.

Es sorprendente que te guste la remolacha desde pequeña, a muchos niños no les gusta, pero hay sus excepciones, como tú, o como mi hija, a quien desde bebita le encantan los vegetales, incluyendo la remolacha. Esa receta que das de ensalada rápida está bastante práctica, además de deliciosa y nutritiva. Y coincido contigo, puede usarse como base de jugos medicinales, especialmente aquellos vinculados al sistema cardiovascular y a la composición de la sangre, ya que aporta muchos nutrientes específicos para esas áreas.

I love beets, honestly I never got into the habit of eating them, but I have always loved vegetables.
Beets are rarely missing in my kitchen, as I use them for salads and for my morning smoothies.
I usually eat them raw because their properties are better utilized, also their flavor is purer because they are not cooked.
For me, beet is one of those vegetables that should not be missed, it has wonderful properties that help us to have a glowing skin and also contribute to good health.
There is a salad that is very special and this one has beets, carrots, tomatoes and raisins, dressed with olive oil and lemon, hahaha I'm already hungry!

As for mer, I barely buy beets but this contest have change my mind and reset it into giving consideration to beets.

Ahh, you too you're a lover of beets! As for me, I do like to enjoy it but haven't added it to my list or budget before. But from now onward, I will have a rethink because I never even care to make it part of my kitchen items.
Beets? I never liked this healthy root vegetable earlier while growing up until when I first tasted it in a salad as an adult. Beets are one of the healthiest root vegetables 🥗 and what attracts me most is the color of the purple beets. Like them raw in salads and drinks but enjoy it cooked in vegetable soups

You can always enjoy beet in several ways. Wash and sterilize it properly. Then cut in slices and add to carrot 🥕, cucumber 🥒 or avocado 🥑 to enjoy a healthy salad.
For soup, you can add it to spinach, pumpkin leave 🍃 with spices as a vegetable 🥗 soup 🍲 . Enjoy 😊

My mini contest participation, beets are versatile and nutritious. It can be made use of for different things and ways. While some people prefer it cooked, I prefer mine raw. I love making most of my dishes with especially my veggies salad.
I also love drinking it when it's blended with some fruits. For me, I believe it's more effective that way that's my reason for preferring it raw.
I believe that anyone who tastes it raw wouldn't like cooked. The first and last time i tried it, there was no good result gotten.
Beets is wonderful versatile vegetable, try it today and convince yourself.

That's true. Like I said earlier, am the last person to spend my money buying beets for myself unless someone close to me is suffering from blood deficiency but with this contest, my eyes are now open and I can now spend my hard earned money buying beets as well. This is my participation in the vegan mini contest entitled "How do you prefer your beets, raw or cooked?"
I lived on this earth for over 25 years before I came to know about beets. The first day I tasted it, it was a friend that gave it to me as juice. But later, I ate it raw and now prefer it raw. Why? The sound it gives inside my mouth and the raw satisfying light bitter taste nourishes my soul. Beets are rich in vitamins and the most reason why I love beets is that it saved my sister's life when she was diagnosed of low blood percentage. Most times, I do eat it raw along with garbage, carrot and cucumber. Presently, beets is among my favorites
