May Day: An Unpleasant Experience for Workers

Greetings, friends of Hive and @weekendexperiences, today I'm once again participating in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents several topics for us to select and share our experience and learn about those of other Hive users.

It is worth noting that it is good to express what bothers you, to keep it in our mind, which can explode at any moment and serves as an outlet for the body to say what we feel, in this case I am going to talk about a situation that not only affects me but all public administration workers, such as teachers, nurses, doctors and all public workers whose salary depends on the state.

We haven't had a salary increase for more than three years. What we're receiving are bonus payments, which have no impact on salaries. That means we're losing all our accrued benefits. It's unacceptable that a worker earns the same as a teacher, without underestimating the workers' work. Every May 1st, the government decrees a salary increase. There were some expectations for this increase, with different options being considered.

Now, it turns out that the president spoke out on Wednesday, April 30th, and surprised all of us workers with no salary increase, which has been frozen for three years. It turns out that we have a $90 bonus called "economic war," which he raised to $120, or $30, and the $40 meal tickets stayed the same. Doing the math, a teacher's salary is $2.79 biweekly, a day's pay is $0.28. It's absurd. The government has eliminated the salaries and benefits of all of us workers. They claim to be socialists, and those who are, are capitalists.

This really bothers me, because the position I hold isn't a political one. I studied, prepared, and earned my postgraduate degree to have a better quality of life. Now we're at a crossroads with this government that wants nothing to do with teachers. It's disappointing when school principals demand that we attend school five days a week for a miserable salary. Imagine if we get practically nothing for vacations now.

It's a mockery what the government has done to all the workers, education is on the floor with all these events there is no improvement for anyone.

I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.

That sucks. It seems around the world, workers are exploited >:(

Yes it is crazy, thanks for your comment

It is an absurd salary. Not right. You must support your family in the most difficult circumstances.

Wishing you a more economically sound future, friend, @cetb2008

Hello friend, thank you, happy weekend

It is unbelievable how year after year our rights established in the constitution of the republic are violated every time, certainly the Labor Day became a date full of expectations where all workers were encouraged, now we simply cannot be more disappointed. Let's keep the faith that this nightmare will end sooner rather than later! Geetings

God willing this will change, thanks for your comment friend, greetings.
