Greetings to all #wednesdaywalk hiver, I recently took a very meaningful walk for me, for a myriad of reasons:
1- The company
2- The place
3 -The celebration
My daughter from my heart came to visit me after two years living abroad, needless to say the emotions generated by these encounters.
She decided to take me and my husband for a walk around the city, it is no secret to anyone how much I love to enjoy the beauty of Havana.
The trip was to celebrate Mother's Day, my mother passed away recently and my children live abroad, so I was not very willing, but their presence put some cheerful colors to this day.
We walked to find a car, we walked several blocks in lively conversation, as I explained to her the changes that had occurred in the neighborhood during her absence.
She was surprised to see the number of motorcycles that transport personnel, we took one to reach our destination, this type of motorcycles are called motorina and have capacity for six people.
Arriving in Havana we stopped at the Central Park.
This park as its name suggests is located in the center of Havana, it is full of history and is surrounded by emblematic buildings such as:
Alicia Alonso Theater
Hotel Inglaterra, Telégrafo Parque Central and others.
They are jewels of the colonial architecture and in whose portals there are cafes that treasure a lot of history as is the Café el Louvre.
We also went to the beginning of the Paseo del Prado, this promenade is very traditional, and its Lions are a trademark of the city, this corner of Prado and Neptuno is very famous and has a song that is a symbol of the Cuban musical genre called cha-cha-cha, which also has a dance that characterizes it.
My husband is a faithful lover of antique cars, and the Park is a place where you can appreciate them, because they are parked there, to provide service to tourists staying in the many hotels nearby.
While he was enjoying the cars, we went to the Capitol and took some pictures, I regretted not having tickets to visit the inside, its halls are beautiful and from its dome begins the central road that runs around the island.
The Capitol has housed important institutions such as the Academy of Sciences, the Cuban Parliament at various times has had its headquarters there, it is currently located in this place.
Finally, we had lunch at Los Nardos, the place is well known for its beauty, attention and quality, we enjoyed a spectacular lunch and table, I confess that for me the prices were high, although given the rampant inflation in the country, many consider that corresponds to the quality of service.
I have to tell you that there was a swing in the restaurant and I couldn't help but sit down for a while to remember how I used to do it with my mother and later with my children, it was a very special moment.

We closed the tour with an emotional meeting with a classmate of Jessica's brother to whom we gave a gift from his friend.
To be able to share with someone so dear and close to our children, that contrast of nature, architecture and history, which encloses our Havana, was a balm for our souls.
I am very grateful to Jessy and to life for enjoying moments like these..

Saludos a todos los hiver de #wednesdaywalk, recientemente realice un paseo muy significativo para mi, por un sin fin de razones:
1- La compañía
2- El lugar
3 -La celebración
Mi hija de corazón vino a visitarme después de dos años viviendo en el extranjero, demás está decirles las emociones que generan estos encuentros.div>
Decidió llevarnos a mi esposo y a mí a pasear por la Ciudad, no es secreto para nadie cuanto me gusta disfrutar de la belleza de La Habana.div>
El paseo fue para celebrar el día de las madres, mi madre falleció recientemente y mis hijos viven en el extranjero, por lo que yo no tenía mucha disposición, pero su presencia le puso alegres colores a este día.
Fuimos caminando a buscar un carro, caminamos varias cuadras en animada charla, pues le fui explicando los cambios ocurridos en el barrio durante su ausencia.
Ella se sorprendió al ver la cantidad de moticos que trasladan personal, tomamos una para llegar a nuestro destino, este tipo de motos reciben el nombre de motorina y tienen capacidad para seis personas.
Al llegar a La Habana nos detuvimos en el Parque Central.
Este Parque como su nombre lo indica se encuentra ubicado en el centro de La Habana, está lleno de historia y lo rodean edificios emblemáticos como:
El Teatro Alicia Alonsodiv>
El Hotel Inglaterra, Telégrafo Parque Central y otros
Constituyen joyas de la arquitectura colonial y en cuyos portales existen Cafeterías que atesoran muchísimo historia como lo es el Café el Louvre.
También nos llegamos hasta el comienzo del Paseo del Prado, este paseo es muy tradicional, y sus Leones son toda una marca de la ciudad, esta esquina de Prado y Neptuno es muy famosa y tiene una canción que es un símbolo del género musical cubano llamado cha-cha-cha, el cual también tiene un baile que lo caracteriza.
Mi esposo es un fiel enamorado de los autos antiguos, y el Parque es un lugar desde donde puedes apreciarlos, debido a que paquean ahí, para ofrecer servicio a los turistas hospedados en los numerosos hoteles cercanos.
Mientras él, sé deleitaba con los autos, nosotras nos llegamos al Capitolio y nos tomamos algunas fotos, lamenté mucho no alcanzar entradas para recorrer su interior, sus salones son hermoso y desde su cúpula e inicia la carretera central que recorre la isla.
El Capitolio ha alojado a importantes instituciones como la Academia de Ciencias, el Parlamento cubano en varias épocas ha tenido su sede allí, actualmente se encuentra en este lugar.
Finalmente, almorzamos en los Nardos, el lugar es muy reconocido por su belleza, atención y calidad, disfrutamos de un almuerzo y sobre mesa espectacular, les confieso que para mí los precios estaban altos, aunque dada la galopante inflación en el país, muchos consideran que se corresponde con la calidad del servicio.
Tengo que contarles que en el restaurante habia un columpió y no pude dejar de sentarme un ratico , para recordar como lo hacia con mi madre y después con mis hijos, fue un momento muy especial.

Cerramos el paseo con un emotivo encuentro con un compañero de estudios del hermano de Jessica a quien le entregamos un obsequio de su amigo.
Poder compartir con alguien tan querido y cercano a nuestros hijos, ese contraste de naturaleza, arquitectura e historia, que encierra nuestra habana, fue un bálsamo para nuestras almas.
Estoy muy agradecida a Jessy y a la vida por disfrutar momentos como estos.
