There are quite a few cool & interesting characters to see!
Guard dogs?
I'm not sure what job these two were doing, but it seemed to be about guarding the corner shop one way or another.
Walking through traffic
This guy was another of these figures that just belong in the traffic, kinda belonging out there, off the sidewalk.
Tough guy?
You see a lot of really tough, but very unassuming guys on the streets, from the old, armed guards outside banks to those passing by.
Although the generation that fought the Vietnam war might be on the older side now there were still events after that which some of these for sure were part of, and that is something you can simply sense right away... Not to be messed with!
Old motorbike driver
I do feel that most can be trusted, its a highly regulated society, where you'll be left alone and even helped along if you behave, and of course pay your way.
Walking the dog!
Of course everyone will time their moves on these streets to the flow of traffic, but often that is invisible, leaving many to seemingly just float through it all.
This guy with his tiny dog appeared that way for me :-)
Two happy dudes
I think this was the only real smile I saw out there! People just do not display emotions like this too much, but I guess they were enthusiastic about something.
Some cool kids
The small kids are different of course! They often discovered me and displayed that natural, pure curiosity.
These days have been great for photography, and in some other ways. But Ho Chi Minh City is also very different from say Da Nang. Of course its the same culture, more or less same rules and ways of living, but the fact that its a huge city puts it stamp on everything.
That's it for today!
